Applique Piecing With Wool Felts

Instructor: Barbara Crawford, Crawford Designs
Class #253
Applique wall hanging photo3-hour workshop - BRING SUPPLIES LISTED BELOW
This is a colorful piecing project using a favorite, versatile fabric -- wool felts. These wool felts have been felted to give texture. They will be put together to create a beautiful piece without turning under the edges. This lovely small piece will also be finished with hand embroidery to add a dimensional and lovely finish! So you will have the opportunity to brush up on your embroidery stitches or learn some new stitches. Barbara's signature to many of her designs is hand embroidery. She says it is "like the icing on the cake" -- a way to add another dimension to the surface. Your finished piece can be hung on the wall, have a candle placed on it, or be used on a table center. The finished project is approx. 10" x 10". This is a great opportunity to advance your sewing experience. Kit fee: $27 includes felted wool felts, pattern, threads, needles, fusible webbing. Students bring: scissors, and regular sewing supplies.
