"Seasonal Palette" From Studio Art Quilt Associates Displayed
Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. is an international, nonprofit organization that exists to promote the art quilt and the artists who create them. Founded in 1989 by a small group of artists, SAQA's membership now numbers over 3,000 artists, teachers, collectors, gallery owners, museum curators and corporate sponsors.
SAQA exhibits are curated, or juried, from works created by some of the most innovative and respected artists working with fiber today. Since 2005, SAQA has been making their art quilt exhibits available to travel the world.
Seasonal Palette, one of their most recent fiber art exhibits, showcases the work of 37 accomplished artists. The selected artists were charged with creating a new work based upon the season that most inspires them. These 37 works, all sized at 78" tall and 32" wide, create a unique exhibit that moves us through the seasons using texture, light, color and masterful design. SAQA WEBSITE
